Shift: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

 

Job Summary: To perform Cytology procedures as stated in the Cytology Procedure Manual necessary to assist in quality patient care and aid in the efficient and effective operation of the department

Job Responsibilities Include:   

 

  • Screen and accurately diagnose gyn and non-gyn cytology slides.
  • Prepare and stain gyn and non-gyn cytology specimens. Operates and maintains all Cytology instrumentation.
  • Utilize the computer to accurately accession, result and generate specimen reports.
  • Maintains efficient operation of section. Insures accuracy of testing
  • Assists histology with assigned tasks.
  • Promotes patient safety by compliance with Organization/Department policies and procedures.

 

 

Requirements: 

 

Education - CT ASCP or equivalent

 

Experience - 1 to 2 years
